Serendipitous. I've recently been thinking about glass in all its manifestations in the medieval/early modern periods, and wondering about books I might find enlightening - no pun intended. Raguin's book sounds perfect. Plus it's Easter Saturday morning here in NZ, and this afternoon I'll be heading into town to hear some Paschaltide Renaissance music in a local church that has a few splendid stained glass windows. Another sign!
I do like a bit of serendipity! I thought the Raguin book was really good. I was less interested in some of the later chapters on more modern stained glass - but ironically those are the ones I find myself thinking about most. Let me know what you think if you get it!
Lovely to be reminded of the glorious Matisse chapel. I hadn’t heard of the book.

This is a very nice review of a pair of books I would probably never otherwise have encountered. Thank you.
