Great piece, I really enjoyed the exhibition too. I did wonder whether the curators should have mixed the Reinhardt collection in with the main collection so that you could get a direct comparison, as you say it’s probably a one in a lifetime chance!
I haven’t seen the exhibition yet, but enjoyed and appreciated this review of it very much. Winterthur itself is worth a visit for art lovers, even whilst Am Romerholz is closed for renovations. The Villa Flora, which houses the art collection of the Hahnloser family, is particularly attractive and interesting
I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, and it’s very easy to get to on the train or by road from Zurich. The Hahnlosers had a villa in Cannes as well so they were very much connected to both Swiss and French artists of their day

That would have been great - but a lot to ask! And it would have made ticketing too.
Thanks!

Thank you! It’s now very much on my list of places to visit.
