Great list. I will of course read Joad's book, which I expect will be excellent. The one on the history of old age looks great, and very relevant to my current work--and that might have eluded me, so thanks!
You absolutely should not know this! But how nice of you to ask. I'm trying to finish a demographic study of 615 Renaissance English authors, and then beginning a foolishly overambitious project on generations (in literature) from the Black Death to WWI.
Ah, I've read and admired a few posts, etc from you along these lines, without realising what they were a part of! Wow. Really fascinating lines of thought and work. Two big, big projects, though. Look forward to reading more!
A great list. Thank you for sharing. I will be adding many of them to my wishlist.
Winter Dreams is appealing to me...
Thank you! Several tempting books in there. Am I enough of a cricket fan to buy one about Jessop? Maybe to borrow it...
The Jessop book is pretty niche, and I almost left it out. If I pick up a copy I will let you know what I think!

Thanks Julianne! Forgive me if I should know this already, but what are you working on at the moment?
